The first ever flag of Jura flown in space:
This flag of Jura (my local area), left our Planet at the Russian Space Centre in Baïkonour on March 29, 2006 at 02h31 GMT onboard the Soyuz TMA-8 rocket, along with the Expedition 13 crew members.
It was carried onboard the International Space Station (ISS), by Expedition 13 Commander, Cosmonaut Pavel Vinogradov. During its journey, the flag has been cancelled on the front and verso with the official seals of the mission, and signed by the Commander.
The flag arrived back to Earth at Cape Canaveral on September 21, 2006 at 10h21 GMT, during the return flight of STS-115 Mission onboard the Space Shuttle Atlantis. It was flown in space for 175 days 5 hours and 51 minutes, while having orbited the Earth more than 2'700 times, and covered a distance over than 110 million Km !!

Ce drapeau du Jura, (ma région) à quitté notre planète au cosmodrome de Baïkonour, le 29 mars 2006 à 02h31 GMT à bord de la fusée Soyuz TMA-8 lors du vol de la Mission Expedition 13.
Il a ensuite été transporté, à bord de la Station Spatiale Internationale (ISS) par le Cosmonaute Pavel Vinogradov, Commandant de la Mission Expedition 13. Durant son séjour, le drapeau va recevoir recto et verso, les oblitérations et sceaux officiels de la mission qu'il accompagne, ainsi que la signature du Commandant.
Il est revenu sur Terre à Cap Canaveral, le 21 septembre 2006 à 10h21 GMT, à l'occasion du vol de retour de la Mission STS-115 à bord de la Navette Spatiale Atlantis. Il aura alors séjourné 175 jours 5 heures et 51 minutes dans l'espace, orbité la Terre plus de 2'700 fois et parcouru une distance supérieure à 110 millions de Km !! |
